Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Zyref, LLC (“Zyref,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with ShipBio. It applies to account holders, website visitors, and people who interact with sites hosted on ShipBio.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We collect information you provide, such as your email address, authentication codes, display name, biography, profile image, work history, education, links, and other content added to your websites.
Website and publishing information
We process project settings, custom domains, portfolio items, blog posts, uploaded media, template choices, colors, and publication status. Content you publish is intentionally made public at your selected ShipBio subdomain or custom domain.
Billing information
Our payment provider processes payment card details. We receive limited billing information such as customer and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, and billing period dates. We do not store complete payment card numbers.
Usage and technical information
We may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested URLs, timestamps, diagnostic events, security events, and cookie or session identifiers. DNS and certificate checks may process public information associated with connected domains.
Information collected on user websites
When someone subscribes to a newsletter or joins a discussion on a ShipBio-hosted website, we may process their email address, display name, verification codes, comments, upvotes, notification choices, subscription status, associated website, and related timestamps on behalf of that website’s owner. Reader sessions are scoped to the individual website and custom domain where the reader signs in.

3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us deliver ShipBio, including hosting, storage, content delivery, email delivery, payment processing, security, monitoring, and customer support providers. They may process information only as needed to provide services to us and subject to appropriate obligations.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, to investigate abuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
Content published to a ShipBio website—including public comments and display names—is public. A website owner can access newsletter and discussion information submitted through that website and is independently responsible for its use and moderation.
4. Cookies and sessions
ShipBio uses cookies and similar technologies necessary to keep you signed in, protect forms, remember service state, and secure accounts. We may also use limited measurement technologies to understand service performance. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking required cookies may prevent account features from working.
5. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving ShipBio, comply with legal obligations, and, where required, with your consent.
6. Data retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After deletion or termination, we may retain information for a limited period for backups, dispute resolution, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Public content may remain in search-engine or third-party caches outside our control.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a secure email account and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
8. International processing
ShipBio and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Privacy protections may differ between jurisdictions.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, or withdraw consent. You may update much of your information through the dashboard. To submit another request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity.
Newsletter subscribers should first contact the owner of the website where they subscribed. They may also use an available unsubscribe mechanism.
10. Children
ShipBio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information in violation of this policy, contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy as ShipBio evolves. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
